What Is the GDPR?
On May 25th 2018, a new European Union privacy regulation known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect. The aim is to protect the personal data of all EU citizens. Whatever the location of your business, if you own a website with EU visitors, or if your marketing campaigns target EU citizens, these changes affect you.

How Can I Prepare for the GDPR as a Website Owner?
To meet GDPR requirements, you’ll need to create a privacy policy, clearly letting visitors know how your site processes their data including information on cookies and other tracking technologies. You’ll also need a legal basis to handle your visitors’ data including prior consent on other than strictly necessary cookies (ePR). Please contact your clients for an updated Privacy Policy and request your client updates with the SEO Flatrate Support Team before May 25th 2018 in order to become GDPR complient asap.
